A great place to enjoy a day in the mountains any time of the year, Palomar County Park boasts four acres of scenic views. You can also see the historic Palomar Mountain Observatory in the nearby State Park.
The park is also a wonderful escape from the heat in the summer months. Shady conifer trees dot the park and support a wide variety of bird wildlife such as woodpeckers and raptors. A picnic area and tables are scattered throughout the park, providing quiet places to enjoy the fresh mountain air. Parking and a vault restroom are available.
NOTE: During the winter months, the park may offer a fun-filled day in the snow. However, in harsh weather the park made not be accessible due to road and safety conditions on South Grade Road. Please call ahead.
