Passes and discounts are available for visitors who are County Residents, Seniors, individuals with disabilities and military veterans. The following discount cards/passes are available at any of our camping parks, or in person at our Reservation Center, open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 5510 Overland Ave. Suite 270, San Diego, CA 92123. Information is also available by calling (858) 565-3600 (local) or (877) 565-3600 (toll-free).

NOTE: Discount cards cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or discount.

Disabled Discount

Residents of San Diego County who have a valid DMV Disabled Placard, Disabled license plate or Disabled Veteran license plate, are eligible for a Disabled Discount Card. These cards cost $15 and entitle the holder to the following benefits:

  • $4 off weekday camping/full hook-up RV sites (Sunday through Thursday except the night prior to a holiday)
  • $3 off weekday camping/partial and non-hookup sites (Sunday through Thursday except the night prior to a holiday)
  • $1 off per night Friday, Saturday, and the night prior to a holiday.
    Waiver of $5.00 reservation fee.
    Please Note: Discount cards apply to only one camping unit or one site per night, and are non-transferable. Cabins excluded.

Distinguished Veterans Discount 

The County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation is honoring the State of California’s Distinguished Veterans Pass (DVP). With this pass, Veterans who qualify can enjoy the benefits of park facilities at little or no cost. Holders of this pass receive the following benefits: 

  • Up to seven nights of free camping per calendar year at any County campground 
  • Waived day-use fees at any County park or reserve where fees are required (traditionally $3 per vehicle); all other vehicles must pay any applicable fees

Qualified disabled war veterans, former prisoners of war or recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor are eligible to receive the DVP discount. Information on obtaining a pass through the State of California can be found on the  California State Parks website. Until the Department's computerized reservation system is upgraded to accept the DVP electronically, qualified participants wishing to camp should visit Parks and Recreation headquarters at 5510 Overland Avenue, Suite 270, San Diego, CA. 92123 or call (877) 565-3600, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Same-day reservations can be made at any camping facility with ranger approval and proof of DVP, but future reservations must be made in person or by phone.

Things to remember when using your DVP:

  • You must self-identify as a DVP holder when making a reservation over the phone or in person (DVP reservations may not be made online).
  • You can book same-day camping reservations as long as you have proof of your DVP and a valid photo ID.
  • You can book advance camping reservations as long as you have your DVP number at the time of booking.  
  • Only the campsite occupied by the pass holder is subject to the discount; any subsequent campsites reserved by pass holder, but not occupied by the pass holder, will be charged full price.
  • You must present the pass at check-in even when the campsite is reserved in advance, along with valid photo ID. Photo copies of the pass will NOT be accepted.
  • If you are unable to provide a physical copy of the pass, the reservation will be applicable to full price camping and reservation fees. No exceptions can be made.
  • You will be required to pay the mandatory $5 reservation fee, when booking in advance.  
  • You may be required to pay additional, associated fees such as fees for extra campsites or vehicles, pets, etc.
  • This pass is not valid for group camping sites, youth camping sites, camping cabins, community buildings, enclosed pavilions, or group picnic areas.
  • For day-use, the pass may be used for parking a passenger vehicle with a capacity of eight persons or less where a vehicle day-use fee is collected.
  • No priority can be given to pass holders.

Group Discount

Group organizers may reserve a minimum of 10 campsites up to one year in advance of their stay. Call the Reservation Center at (877) 565-3600 Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to make group reservations. This will enable us to waive reservation fees for each site.

By phone, a reservation fee of $5 will be charged for reserving 10 to 20 sites. There will be an additional reservation charge of $1 per site after the initial 20 reservations are made. Pavilion and/or kitchen facilities for one full day during the reservation period are included in the reservation at no additional charge.

NOTE: At Dos Picos, the pavilion may be reserved at no additional charge in 4-hour blocks. Additional fees will be collected at the park by the ranger if a longer period is required. One extra vehicle fee and pet fees are waived.

Sites may be cancelled prior to the reservation date, but the group must remain at a minimum of 10 sites to qualify for this special program. Only 1 transfer or reschedule maybe made per group reservation.

Parking Pass

The following passes apply to Day-Use only.  Passes do not apply to camping/extra vehicles.

  • Annual Parking Pass - All Parks: $40 for San Diego County residents (purchase online)
  • Annual Parking Pass - One Park: $25 for San Diego County residents (purchase online)
  • Senior (62+): FREE for San Diego County senior residents
  • Disabled: FREE for San Diego County (a current California Disabled placard will be honored in lieu of a pass at all regional day-use parks)

Resident Camping Discount Card

Any San Diego County resident is eligible for a County Resident Camping Discount Card. The cost of the annual discount card is $35. The discount card offers the following benefits: 

  • $1 off per night.
  • Waive $5 reservation fee.

Senior Camping Discount Card

Seniors who are 62 or older and residents of San Diego County are eligible for a Senior Camping Discount Card. These annual discount cards cost $15 and offer the following benefits:
