Parks Advisory Committee

The San Diego County Parks Advisory Committee was established to advise the Board of Supervisors, the Chief Administrative Officer and the County Department of Parks and Recreation on programs, issues and long-range budget items pertaining to the department. Members of the Parks Advisory Committee are appointed by the Board of Supervisors.

Unless otherwise noted, meetings are held on the second Friday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation headquarters, located at 5510 Overland Ave., Suite. 270, San Diego, CA 92123. PUBLIC COMMENT:

• Any person wishing to speak to the Committee may do so.
• Time allotted to each speaker is determined by the Chair and is generally limited to two (2) minutes.
• No person may yield speaking time to another person.
• Any person who does not wish to speak to the Committee but wishes to have the record reflect a position in favor or in opposition to an agenda item or any other matter of interest to the Committee may do so by contacting Blanca Castillo at (858) 966-1303 or by email.
• Submission of unintelligible, profane, deceptive, confusing or other comments that may interfere with the orderly processing of speakers may preclude a member of the public from speaking during that particular public comment period.

PROCESS FOR SUBMITTING PUBLIC COMMENT DURING A MEETING:

• Committee meetings may be attended virtually by members of the public.
• Members of the public should raise their virtual hand when asked by the Committee.
• The Committee will then ask the requester to unmute to provide their public comment.

If the member of the public is calling in rather than using the virtual meeting application, please contact Blanca Castillo prior to the meeting to provide notice of intent to introduce public comment.
