Lake Morena County Park is a camping and fishing park in East County San Diego. The park has a mix of desert, coastal, and mountain habitats. Lake Morena is at 3,000 feet above sea level. The park also has 8 miles of trails for walking and biking, TRACK trails for kids, a pavilion, and a playground.
The park is a popular vacation spot for many reasons:

Motorized boats can be rented for fishing and touring the lake. Swimming and direct body contact with the water are not allowed. For more information, call the park at (619) 579-4101. Also, the boat dock may close during bad weather, including high winds, storms, rain, or snow. Be sure to call ahead.
All vessels and equipment must pass a quagga inspection prior to launch. To pass a quagga inspection, vessels and equipment must be clean, drained and dry:

IMPORTANT: You will need a County-issued permit. Fees for the permit are listed below. You must also have a State-issued Fishing License. The license is not available at Lake Morena or other facilities nearby. Be sure to get your State-issued Fishing License before your visit.
