Dianne Jacob Lakeside Equestrian Park spans 13.88 acres and is located at the corner of Moreno Avenue and Willow Road in the rural community of Lakeside.

It was designed to host a variety of equestrian and livestock-related activities including practices, training and contests - in addition to rodeos, arena shows shows and non-equestrian occasions like festivals, receptions and farmers markets.

The new facility has many custom features, for example, a covered arena and an open arena, a a concession building with kitchen and attached banquet hall, restrooms, horse and livestock corrals, shade structures, bleachers, picnic tables, ample parking and ADA access throughout. A perimeter trail connects residents to the park's 1.1-acre public-use area and main gates. To learn more about what's on site, view the conceptual rendering or read the Project Narrative.

The project for this versatile space was plannedm designed and led by the County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation between 2020 and 2023. A contract to operate the park has been awarded to Equine Event Services through the public bid process.

UPDATE: As of December 2023, park staff and construction crews are putting the finishing touches on the park, and the team is in the proceess of putting together a facility schedule, inclusive of all special event, public event and general access opportunities. This information will be shared in early 2024.
