Happy New Year, San Diego! We’re excited to share a new round of Activity & Program Guides with you – highlighting fun for the whole family, from January to June.
Featuring hundreds of classes, camps, hikes, educational activities and special events, these seasonal guides are a great way to plan your day, weekend – even your month!
Many programs are free, and some require small parking or registration fees. All of them were added to the calendar to meet the specific wants and needs San Diego County residents.
Shop holiday activities like Breakfasts with the Bunny, a St. Patrick’s Day Leprechaun Hunt, Arbor Day tree plantings, and cardio challenges on Valentine’s Day, Cinco de Mayo and Memorial Day weekends.
Head out early for a hike with a ranger, or kick back with a coffee while you meet an animal ambassador.
Learn about butterflies, birds of prey, bighorn sheep, wolves and other local critters through a selection of education sessions.
Try our kid-friendly TRACK Trails at parks across the County where young ones can earn prizes for discovering cool things in nature.
Send teens on a nature explorer camping trip or rock climbing adventure – then help them plan their future during college and career week.
After hours, participate in one of eight evening walks and star parties – including a 2 a.m. Meteor Watchers event!
We’re kicking off our Summer Movies in the Park Series in May with a celebration and screening at Waterfront Park, following by months of movies in your hometown. Last year’s show schedule topped 140 showings at over 80 locations, and 2018 is already shaping into something special.
Recreate in a way that is meaningful to you… We encourage you to experience the “upside of outside” this spring by spending quality time in our parks and preserves.
