Join San Diego County Supervisor Bill Horn and special guests for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening celebration for three new amenities in Borrego Springs: A Library, Park and Sheriff's Office. The event takes place 12 to 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018.
The new, 16-acre plot of land features diverse open
space/recreation areas, a library campus for learning and exploring,
and a Sheriff’s Office to support neighborhood safety.
Take a tour of the library while being entertained by live music,
local artists and stilt walkers. Travel the trails in the park for a
chance to meet live animals and to earn a junior ranger badge. Snap a
selfie with a Sheriff's Deputy in front of a patrol car while visiting
their open house.
All three venues contribute to a
healthy, safe and thriving San Diego – in line with the County's
Live Well mantra.
The meet-up spot sits between the new library and park, at 2580 Country Club Road, Borrego Springs. Light refreshments will be provided. There is no cost to attend and all ages are welcome.
