In Spring 2019, County Parks will be opening a community garden at Sweetwater Summit Regional Park. The garden will include approximately 200 reservable plots - available in two popular sizes.
Community gardens provide rented space for residents to work
the land and cultivate plants, growing things like healthy fruits and
vegetables for personal consumption.
Currently, County Parks maintains two public gardens for community use: One at Los Penasquitos Canyon County Preserve, Rancho Guajome Adobe, and another at Tijuana River Valley Regional Park. This will be the fourth, with more on the horizon.
Stay tuned for future communications – including an invitation to a grand opening event.
